Weird.

I updated some of my posts to make the pictures bigger, and it moved them to the front page of my blog. It also changed the date they were posted. What the hell.

This Looks Like Trouble

Dylan figured out how to pull up. We had baby proofed by putting everything out of her reach, but she can suddenly reach all of it again. I guess we will have to put it all even higher.  I know she is planning shenanigans.

Skepchick is a great athiest/skeptic blog which speaks from an entirely female perspective. Here is how they describe themselves.

"Skepchick is a group of women (and one deserving guy) who write about science, skepticism, and pseudoscience. With intelligence, curiosity, and occasional snark, the group tackles diverse topics from astronomy to astrology, psychics to psychology."

Excellent. A blog full of intelligent women writing about things that I want to read about. Not that I don't love my craft, fashion and mommy blogs. I do! But it has to be intermixed with things that keep my brain active in other areas as well. Until now I had was Pharyngula, which is a great science and athiest/skeptic blog from a male perspective. I also had CNN and NPR as general news sources. I love adding a female perspective to this area. Kudos ladies!

Is It REALLY A Favorite?

I need some help fellow Etsians.

This candelabra has been favorited 25 26 times. A record for my new and mostly unseen store. It was also featured on a treasury and received numerous compliments. So why doesn't anyone want to buy it? Is it overpriced? I just don't get it. I'd love insight or advise on this issue.

Also, does anyone else ever look at the treasuries that make the front page of Etsy and wonder how they got there and not yours? Seriously. Look at the one that is there right now and then look at this. I know how arrogant that sounds. Whatever.

Dylans First Birthday

I slaved for hours making a 6 layer cake. Each layer was a different color of the rainbow. Did I remember to take a picture of it? No. But here is a picture of the inside of Dylans small cake. It was tie dye.

After she dove in a got it on her face, she looked up at all of us and puked. All over her cake. I think she was nervous about everyone paying so much attention to her at once. It was not exactly the first birthday I had expected, but it sure makes a good story! Here's the video. I'd skip to 1:50 in if I were you.
